Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP)

Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) is Coinbase's developer product suite. In the x402 ecosystem it operates a facilitator: the service that verifies and settles payments for sellers that configure it. It also publishes the discovery catalogue attached to that facilitator, the x402 Bazaar.

CDP operates an authenticated x402 facilitator: sellers configure it with CDP credentials, and it exposes the protocol's /verify, /settle and /supported operations. What a facilitator is and does — verifying, settling, holding no funds — is defined in that entry. This service is one implementation of the role.

CDP also publishes a discovery catalogue of x402 endpoints, the x402 Bazaar, listing endpoints that settle through its facilitator. Its seller documentation states the listing mechanics: how an endpoint becomes discoverable, and the period of inactivity after which a listing is removed. Those criteria are CDP's own and are linked below.

The x402 protocol originated at Coinbase. Stewardship of the specification sits with the x402 Foundation, whose repository is the protocol's source of record.

A separate public facilitator runs with a separate catalogue of its own — see the x402.org facilitator entry. An endpoint is listed in the catalogue belonging to the facilitator it settles through.

→ probe402 republishes each facilitator network's own advertised kind-set, with provenance, at the networks record. Endpoints derived from these catalogues are graded by the same rubric as every other tracked endpoint, each on the schedule the endpoint list publishes for it.
