Does paying an endpoint deliver what was bought?
The short answer
It is measured, and the record is published. Each week probe402 pays the endpoints on the published panels, records for each payment whether the settle response names a transaction and, where we have read Base for it, whether two independent nodes agree the transfer was made, and grades what the endpoint returned by a published rule. The current counts are quoted below, beside the population they were counted over.
As published in the paid record
probe402's paid-delivery programme has made 3,820 paid attempts against 758 endpoints on the published list. For 2,492 of those attempts the seller's settlement response names a transaction; for 92 a payment was sent and the response named none, so the response alone does not show whether those settled.
An endpoint enters the population if we recorded it quoting a price in the window, and it is kept if the whole of its published payment challenge can be read, if it offers an entry this wallet can pay, if it is called with a GET whose address has no part for us to fill in, and if the resource it names is one we can grade.

Why it matters
Acceptance is not the question a buyer is asking. A payment that settles and returns nothing usable is a loss the acceptance figures cannot see.

We call each endpoint on the published panels with a real payment on a weekly schedule, and record every attempt with the outcome word the published paid rubric gives it, from refused before payment to settled and answered. The rule that decides which endpoints are on the panels is quoted beside the figures below, and every endpoint on the panels is listed on the method page.
